Bio:
I started playing and writing music in 1993. I proceeded to learn every song Metallica ever recorded from 1983 to 1991 because at the time it was the coolest shit I’d ever heard. Spending the next few years exploring and expanding my musical influences, I learned to appreciate 60’s psychadelic rock, blues, jazz, classical, and a few artists along the way I can’t really put into a category. I’ve never had much of a musical theory background but instead I’ve concentrated my style on approach and overall “feel” and texture. Sometimes I think it would benefit me to know more about theory, but I’m picking up what I need when I need it and it’s cool. I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by people I respect as musicians and artists I can learn from.

Tool, Alice In Chains, Nothingface, Opeth, Pantera, Porcupine Tree, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Pink Floyd, Soilwork, and everything I hear that I find interesting in terms of songwriting/arrangement, tones, textures, layers, dynamics, and methods of making each piece of a song/album make sense and have a purpose.
