Howdy, friends! Here's a pint-sized update for ya...
First off, thanks to everyone who came out to the Varsity Theater show for Cinco De Mayo.. It was Staija's first time in that room, and there should be many more great shows there for Staija in the future! You helped make it a killer night....TONS of other shows were happening, but a lot of you made Staija a priority, and for that we give you a huge thanks!
Also, let me be the first to tell you that we are next to done with the CD we've been dilligently and semi-steadily working on. Our Engineer, Colt Leeb, returned with a vengeance from out West, so we should be looking at finishing everything up within the first week of June. The full-length album (Thats at least 40+
minutes!) so far is untitled, but we assure you that there are at least 12 killer songs that will be making the final track listing; stay tuned for the listing to be posted within a day or two right up on here.
As for shows, there are two mammoth-sized events going on... First! There's a huge All Ages event happening in Burnsville on Friday at the Garage...Yes, thats this Friday, the 12th. This show is a great deal for the youngsters who don't always get to come to shows that are 21+, or even 18+. Friday's event has Staija playing at 7pm, supporting Index Case and SMB. If you have never seen either group, get off your broken-down merry-go-round to check them out. :)
Also, Round Two of the Emergenza Showcase Semi-Finals is coming up on Saturday, May 20th, and Staija needs all your support for this one. Emergenza is sponsoring this huge contest, with the winning bands receiving tons of free gear, recording time, and even European festival shows. We are selling tickets for this show for only $12, so check in at the store within the next day or two to purchase.. ALSO, we're working out details for a promotional event prior to the Emergenza showcase to help garner some interest. This excellent info will also be posted within mere hours! :)
